The course will introduce key concepts and definitions of International Safety Management System terms and the role of human factors in maritime safety.

 

How will the course benefit my company?

Human factors have been shown to be the primary contributing cause for up to 70% of maritime accidents (Galieriková, 2019). Understanding of how the human factors are able to contribute in such a way, and identify where they occur is the first step to reducing the number of accidents and incidents, creating a safer and more efficient environment onboard.
