Description:

In this course, we describe the diverse distress signals a navigator can use when in a dangerous situation or even in trouble. We will have a look at how they work and in which situation it is better to use one signal over another. The course describes the distress signals usually present on board a ship or a yacht, which are: radio, EPIRB, SART (Search and Rescue Transponder), pyrotechnics and flags.
