Learners taking this course will learn and understand air masses and their correct labelling on the maps, depending on the origin of an air mass. Secondly, they will learn about cloud formation, cloud types, and their appropriate nomenclature. The students will also learn which cloud types are indicators of weather changes and what kind of weather change can be expected when a specific cloud type is spotted in the sky. Other specific meteorological terms will be introduced and explained, such as ""Squalls"" - and how they are formed depending on different weather fronts.
