Course Description:- This Engine room course consists of six tours, where you will be guided on various aspects of engine room watchkeeping, including the engine control room, how to carry out testing and inspections of various machinery, UMS procedures, various documentation including the engine log book and last minutes checks prior arrival port. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to · Carry out a thorough self-inspection of the engine room, keeping it compliant and ready for any third-party inspection. · Appreciate the importance of documentation and how to fill in the logbook · To identify shortcomings and look for observations · Carry out various tests on machinery · Plan, manage and work more efficiently, which in turn will build confidence and improve efficiency.
