Target group:

Personnel who will use/use NORSOK R-003 in their daily work, such as operators, managers, and specialists involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of lifting operations offshore.

Description:

Content:
The training shall provide a general understanding of structure and content and contribute to an accepted level of safety for personnel, the environment, and material assets in the planning and execution of lifting operations. At the same time, special emphasis will be placed on responsibility and attitudes in the execution of lifting operations.

The course will provide participants with factual knowledge about the content of Norsok standards R-002 and R-003 and how the standards should be understood in relation to the planning, execution, and evaluation of lifting operations. The course will also contribute to developing attitudes, understanding of risk, and the importance of safety aspects and focus in lifting operations. NORSOK R-003 is a standard that everyone working offshore must follow. The standard shall contribute to establishing, maintaining, and further developing an acceptable level of safety for personnel, the environment, and material assets when planning and executing lifting operations in the petroleum industry.

Exam/certification:
A theoretical test to verify that the candidate has achieved the course objectives. A course certificate will be issued to each candidate who has completed and passed the training. The course certificate will contain information about the training location, course content, date of completion, the candidate's name and date of birth, and will be signed by the general manager/course coordinator.

Validity:
In accordance with the company's internal control system.
