The course provides training in HSE and safe work in central operations for the supplier industry and shipyards. The course is a collaboration between Aker Solutions, Aibel, Rosenberg Worley and The Federation of Norwegian Industries.

 

Objective:

Everyone who is going to enter and perform work at the shipyards must have a basic training in HSE. This course provides such training.

 

Course Content:

Laws and regulations, access and security, protective equipment, working environment factors, external environment, and risk understanding are described.

Central work tasks and risks in these are dealt with. These are lift and rig operations, falling objects, barriers and signs, hand and finger safety, work over sea, hot work, welding and torch cutting, electrical work, work with industrial gas, pressure testing and pipe flushing, high-pressure washing, and more.

The principles in Life-saving rules are described and referred to in the work operations.

Everyone who is going to perform work at the shipyards. All personnel in the yard industry.

The Superyacht environment is increasingly concerned with The Blue Ocean concept and aspects of sustainability across its ecosystem. Likewise, the art world must address the same issues. For all seafarers, at least at a basic level, it is essential to understand what this means and how owners are increasingly looking to meet sustainable criteria. Both yachts and fine art collectables are passionate luxury assets. As such, they are enjoyed by the world's wealthiest people. They can come under fire and are often scrutinised for their behaviour, so many looks to show that they are aware of and address best practices in their daily lives. This course addresses different aspects of the art world as it addresses sustainability. This is important for onboard collections and those working for owners who wish to ship their valuables around. Reducing carbon footprint is part of this. So is the move to minimise plastics, including water bottles on the vessel. The purpose of the course is to provide future crane operators with good theoretical and practical basic training on permanently mounted cranes. The course gives students a good insight into the principles of the crane's construction and operation. After completing the course with a passed theoretical test, this, together with a passed practical driving test, will be the basis for issuing a crane driver's license G20 Fixed crane.

The training covers competence requirements in NORSOK standard R003N for Crane Operator G20.

This bundle consists of 4 modules on Auxiliary engines and associated electrical  systems. The problems are presented in an engaging storytelling format. Engineers on board will relate to the scenarios presented, and will find themselves constantly challenged to come up with various possible solutions. Application of  the theoretical principles of these systems to resolving real  world problems is the unique aspect of this course.

 

This bundle focuses on Auxiliary engines and associated electrical systems. 

1) Tackling practical problems faced on board by understanding the causes and how these manifest themselves. 

2)  Interpreting the symptoms, analysing observations and presenting real solutions.

3) Give Engineers an opportunity to practice their skills given a range of issues in these systems..

Course Description:-

This course explains the hours of work and rest requirements. It explains the STCW and the MLC rest and working hours.

It explains the cyclic 24-hour cycle and explains the MLC 2006 min rest and max work option. 

Drills, UMS watches, over time and how they would relate to the hours of work and rest explained. 

Various points regarding crew members maintaining individual records, deviation of rest hours in case of emergency, the difference between on-call/standby, and using the planning tool to plan rest hours are explained in depth.  

 This course also serves as refresher training prior to any inspection and, in turn, will boost the confidence of the candidate.

2) Explain what is meant by the Cyclic 24 hrs cycle.

3) Explain the various deviation from rest hours.

This course has been developed to provide learners with an understanding of the impacts of human activities on the environment, and the various restorative responses and natural solutions to address these impacts.

Course Goal: This course aims to provide learners with an introduction to the principles of the equipment and technology associated with the bolting of flanged joints for pressurised systems. This course is intended to reflect industry ‘best practice’ for competence in relation to mechanical joint operations and applies to both the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas Industry.
