Det er mulig å ta Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System Training (CA-EBS) samt bi-deltoid skuldermåling, som er obligatorisk for helikopterpassasjerer på britisk sektor, i forbindelse med kurset. Dette gjennomføres normalt på dag 2 og tar ca 1 time.

Repetisjonsfrekvens:

Alle må repetere kurset innen 4 år etter gjennomføre grunnkurs eller etter forrige repetisjonskurs for å kunne reise ut på norsk sokkel. Fra 4 til 8 år etter gjennomført forrige kurs kan man repetere kurset før utreise. Hvis det går mer enn 8 år fra gjennomført grunnkurs eller fra forrige repetisjonskurs så må man ta nytt grunnkurs.

Dette kurset er for mannskap som allerede har gjennomført grunnkurs og trenger oppdatering for å beholde sitt kvalifikasjonsbevis for hurtigbåtoperasjoner. Kurset er i henhold til STCW-konvensjonen og Kvalifikasjonsforskriften for sjøfolk §65.

Målsetting:

Etter kurset skal deltakerne kunne gjennomføre sikkert vakthold og god ledelse på hurtiggående fartøy, med fokus på samarbeid, situasjonsforståelse og krisehåndtering.
