Målet med kurset er å gi personell grunnleggende kunnskaper om forberedelse, planlegging, utførelse og dokumentering av flensmontasje og boltetrekking på Compact flenser.

Kontrollert demontering, montering og tiltrekking av flenser, samt riktig valg av verktøy, pakninger, bolter og smøremidler, er avgjørende for å unngå ulykker, skader og tap av verdier på trykksatte anlegg.

With the growing digitization around the world, the relevance of social media and internet has increased manifold. This also means that the information can be spread rapidly, without much delay. While this is useful in many cases, it also fuels the fire of misinformation when it comes to a pandemic or any disease outbreak. Infodemic refers to an information overload that often includes rumours or misleading information circulating in both the digital as well as the physical environments during a disease outbreak. It causes huge confusion and an abnormally high risk-taking behaviour that can be harmful to the health. It also leads to a situation of mistrust in the company authorities and undermines their health response. An infodemic can intensify or worst, increase the outbreak duration, when people aren’t aware of what measures they should take to protect themselves from the disease. Therefore, it becomes imperative that an infodemic be managed with due diligence. Infodemic management is the systematic use of facts and data-based analysis to manage an infodemic with an aim to reduce its impact on the people’s health.

In accordance with law, employers are responsible for Health and Safety management in their workplace. This course is aimed at providing managers with an understanding of the principles of Health and Safety risk management. This course will teach you important aspects of Health and Safety that you should adopt in your place of work.

Organizations can promote self-care among their employees through cultural modifications at the workplace, leadership initiatives and HR practices.

This course covers the necessary competence for being in command of a lifeboat in the event of a shipwreck or accident requiring evacuation, in other words, the entire rescue phase which consists of boarding and launching the lifeboat, moving to a safe distance from the installation and staying on the lifeboat at sea.

Course Content

After completion of the course, the students should be able to:

- Prepare a conventional lifeboat for evacuation

- Organise and supervise embarkation

- Launch the lifeboat

- Attend to the passengers and facilitate the stay onboard after an evacuation.

- Establish and maintain communication with the rescue unit.

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

This Advanced Laundry Service course is an intensive Learning Experience designed to develop your skills and knowledge in both delivering and managing top-class laundry services onboard, as well as understanding laundry-related topics.

Using this E-Learning course, we help you develop a sound theoretical foundation from which to operate by using online lessons, visuals and an assessment.

Please complete the final assessment to the best of your ability. We will build on your initial work as the course progresses so that by the end of the training, you will have working documents that you can put into action immediately on board!

Kurset gjennomføres etter STCW konvensjonens regel VI/2, avsnitt A-VI/2 og tabell A-VI/2-1.

Etter gjennomført kurs skal deltaker ha kunnskap om:

Ta kommando over en redningsfarkost eller mann-over-bord-båt under og etter utsetting

Betjene motor på en redningsfarkost

Håndtere overlevende og redningsfarkost etter evakuering av skipet

Bruke innretninger til å angi posisjon – herunder kommunikasjons- og signalutstyr og lys- og røyksignaler

Gi førstehjelp til overlevende.

Kurset gjennomføres som blandet opplæring, hvor kursets første halvpart gjennomføres som e-læring på egenhånd og i forkant av praksisen på kurssenteret. Mail med link til e-læringen sendes fra Knowledge portal.
