Duration:

Duration of the course is 2 days.

1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours of effective training

1 hour is 60 minutes

The objective with the Baltic MoU is to create an agreement that efficiently combine the rules to enable transport of dangerous goods on certain short routes in the Baltic Sea while maintaining safety but eliminating the need to relabel or reload goods between modes of transport. The purpose of the training is to give the participant a good awareness of the structure and content of the Baltic MoU. The participant should have a good awareness over the provisions in the IMDG Code like placarding and marking of CTUs, documentation, stowage and segregation provisions and consigning provisions for ro-ro vessels. The training also includes a comparison with the road and rail regulations ADR and RID. The student will get knowledge about the content of the Baltic MoU. The student will also be familiar with concerned provisions in the ADR.

This lesson focuses on the Galley. You will be guided on how to carry out various checks around the Galley. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to

• Carry out a round of the galley and carry out general checks and tests that are carried out whilst inspecting the galley. They will be able to ensure that the galley spaces are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.

 

 

The main message of the course is safety and raising awareness for personnel of the dangers and challenges associated with the use of portable equipment, so that the workplace is secured.

Over time, development has led to a steady increase in the number of assistive devices (portable equipment) for use in hazardous areas. The bulk of these devices are powered by battery which can be a possible ignition source in case of improper use.

The course requires prior knowledge in Ex, such as in EX-KOMP:2021.

The course duration is about 20 minutes

Conflict management is a major hurdle in any organizational growth and has to be resolved on priority to reduce the negative effect it may cause. The role of the facilitator is complex.
