FAST TRACK is a learning method which provides you with bespoke learning content by identifying any knowledge gaps you may have in a particular subject area.

FAST TRACK is a pre-assessment learning tool which is designed to assess your existing knowledge of a particular subject area. The pre-assessment uses a pool of questions to test your current knowledge. The results of this assessment help identify your personal knowledge gaps. FAST TRACK then automatically creates a bespoke course to address these knowledge gaps.

Who is the course for?

This eLearning course is aimed at individuals in the oil and gas industry who require an overview of back-up power supply systems. 

 

Is previous experience required?

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

 

How will the course benefit me?

Back-up power supply systems ensure that critical systems, such as the fire and gas system, can keep running in the event of main power system failure. This course will give you in introduction to uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and battery systems.

 

The knowledge gained in this course will help you to appreciate that the safety systems at your worksite are protected from power failure so that they will continue to operate and keep you safe during an emergency situation. It will also enable you to work safely with UPS and battery systems.

 

How will the course benefit my company?

By ensuring you are fully aware of the how back-up power systems operate, you are better able to work with them safely and help to carry out the necessary maintenance checks required to detect faults.

IGF Advanced Webinar

Lectures will be presented remotely. Participants need a PC/tablet with camera, mic, speaker, pen and paper for the lectures. After enrolment, participant will receive a personal information about the course and code for "log in" to Mintra TrainingPortal. Compendiums for use in the course can be downloaded from TrainingPortal. A personal code for joining the webinar will be sent by Mail.                            

Mandatory requirements for personal COP IGF Advanced:

After fulfilling the lectures (Remotely), participants will need sailing experience (PA) on an IGF vessel and documentation of 3 bunkering’s. LEARNING PROCESS

e-Learning with a combination of theoretical lessons, practical tasks and summative tests after every topic. After completion, the participant will be qualified to sign up for the online assessment hands-on training and operator assessment.

 

CERTIFICATE

Successful completion of e-Learning and online assessment (separate module) will yield a K-ECDIS Familiarisation e-Learning diploma.

The Kongsberg e-Learning is in compliance with STCW 1978/2010 Manila as amended, Section A-II/1, A-II/2, A-II/3 and IMO ISM Code 6.3 and 6.5.

In this course, we learn in-depth why Tankers need Inert Gas for different operations, the minimum quality standards for Inert gas, and how it is produced on board. The application of each system for different types of Tanker operations is an integral part of each Inert gas system. We will also learn about the maintenance of these systems, and the problems we may encounter during operations. On completion of this course, you will have a very strong foundation and understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of Inerting operations and the working of the systems.

This short course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of marine materials and corrosion prevention in the context of the merchant navy. Participants will learn about the properties and characteristics of materials commonly used in marine environments and gain insights into effective corrosion prevention strategies to ensure the safety and longevity of vessels and their components.

Program: • Introduction to Cyber Security. • The basic terminology of cyber security: sniffing, spoofing, malware. • The main sources of vulnerability to our systems. • The regulatory framework of reference. • Data protection and privacy issues. • Actions to mitigate the IT risk: behaviour, monitoring, and detection. • Response measures, password management, posters and information material • Maritime Cyber Security: basic concepts. • Review of the management process: risk analysis and mitigation in the context of Safety Management System (SMS) and in the Ship Security Plans (SSP).

This course describes a no blame culture, how it improves safety, and how you can create such by focusing on the ‘why’ instead of ‘who’. It also gives example scenarios where positive behaviours for a no blame culture are reflected.

The course is a management support and provides an introduction to Risk assessment, HSE regulations and Training requirements. The course is also helpful for everyone involved in the training of hazardous work equipment.
