The purpose of these courses is to give you all the tools you need to know about moving artwork from A to B.

This course will cover all aspects of logistics so you can have a holistic view of what it's about. This course will focus mainly on the different modes of transport and how you might need to transport fine art, export and import, and storage. Also, private client considerations if you work for an art collector or have to deliver something to a private residence.

Presentation 

This training course aims at providing a general description of the different types of lifting appliances that may be found on board ships and offshore units, their main characteristics and operating principles. It provides an introduction to the applicable rules and regulations related to lifting appliances. 

Objectives

On completion of the training, students will be able to: 

Get familiar with the various types of lifting appliances installed on board ships and offshore units. 

Know the regulations, which are relevant for inspection and certification of cargo gear, including international regulations and BV Rules. 

Understand the particularities of lifting appliances and the relevant requirements for the survey of materials and equipment.

The Certificate of Cargo Gear and Lifting Appliances is obtained after completion of the course and passing the online test. 

Requirements for training related to scaffolding are regulated by law and regulations. This course is based on the requirements of Regulations concerning the Performance of Work, Chapter 17, which is about assembly, dismantling and alteration of scaffolding.

-2-5 meters: 7.5 hours theory and  7.5 hours practical training

-5-9 meters: 15 hours theory and 15 hours practical training

-Over 9 meters: 36 hours theory and 72 hours practical training

This course covers the requirements of theoretical training for scaffolding up to 9 meters, and corresponds to the requirements of the Regulations concerning the Performance of Work, Section 17-2 and 17-3, on theoretical training. There is an additional requirement of 15 hours practical training if 5-9 meters.

This training course is based on the Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea - 1972, (COLREG 72), which aims at determining the signalling system requirements for safe navigation.
