Objective: The aim of the training is that those who are given training are given the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about fall protection and the correct use of rescue equipment, rescue of free-hanging persons, rescue of personnel over open sea, tank, stretcher transport, descent and treatment of personnel after fall accident.

The training is adapted for personnel who are part of fall protection / rescue teams on board an installation, but also for personnel who want a basic understanding of a rescue operation, evacuation equipment after a fall accident when using fall protection / rescue equipment.

The course runs over 3 days (24 hours)

Repetition 2 every year in accordance with NOG 113 and SFS.

This course is made for personnel who organize or perform: planning, installation, inspection and maintenance of Ex equipment.

The course gives an introduction and repetition in different subjects treated in the IEC 60079 Standard (NEK EN 60079).

The course duration is 5 hours and is valid for 5 years

The course can also be taken as a refresher course for Ex maintenance

• Fundamental Ex philosophy, refresher

• Preparing and installing electrical equipment in hazardous areas

• Inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment in Ex areas

• Understand what maintenance tasks can be done locally, and what must be performed by an authorized workshop

• Give candidates for CompEx certification a solid background for the theoretical assessment

The object of this course is to help course participants maintain and develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding their role in an emergency response situation.

This course consists of a representative selection of the material from the Lifeboat Coxswain Conventional Lifeboat – Basic Course, adapted to participants’ previous knowledge, with major emphasis on practical training and drills.

This course is valid for 24 months.

The life of a seafarer is by no means easy. Seafarers spend months at a time away from their loved ones. Needless to say, once the ship docks in port, many seafarers will often attempt to take some shore leave for a limited number of hours to provide them with a short respite from work duties and a change in scenery. This is extremely important to ensure the mental health and wellbeing of the seafarers.

In this course, we will provide you with all the information you need to know to spend a day in Bremen.

Kurset vil gi kranoperatører en god teoretisk grunnopplæring på bro og traverskraner slik at uhell og ulykker i forbindelse med løfteoparsjoner unngås. Opplæringen gir kandidatene god innsikt i prinsippene for traverskraners konstruksjon,virkemåte, vedlikehold og bruk. Ved bestått teoretisk og praktisk prøve, vil det gi grunnlag for utstedelse av kompetansebevis G4 Bro-og traverskraner.

This course is only available in Norwegian.

The course shall provide knowledge and skills in accordance with the requirements regarding safe use and servicing of fall protection equipment. Practical knowledge of fall protection and proper use of rescue equipment, use of rope access,  rescue of free hanging person, over open sea, tank, use of stretcher, abseils and treatment using first aid equipment.

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

Very few things in the world are known almost without question to be the best of their kind. At the heart of a good cigar is the tobacco and its taste.

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know about cigars. Magnums Academy instructor Josephine Ive will share her passion for cigars and will take you through a brief history of cigars, tobacco plantations, the various regions and different shapes and sizes. Josephine will also discuss how to serve a cigar, how to present it, what to serve it with, the importance of cutting the cigar properly and how to light it up, and the necessary conditions for storing cigars. Magnums Academy has also kindly provided a glossary of the most critical key terms so that you can communicate effectively with cigar shops, your guest cigar smoker and other cigar smokers.

This course has been designed to deliver an awareness of the relevant lifting operations rules used in the US, UK and Norway.
